This cafe is a quaint little space located at the end of the Old Port commotion. You can usually find parking on Cross Street, so stop in for a quick breakfast, lunch or even a treat. B+B is the home of Love Kupcakes, so don’t leave without tasting a cupcake. There are gluten-free, vegan and mini cupcakes to choose from so there’s no excuse to pass on one of these delightful desserts.
Appropriately named, there is no better place than Baristas and Bites to satisfy both your caffeine and sugar cravings. I highly recommend the “sconewich” a breakfast sandwich that’s available all day (thankfully) consisting of egg, arugula, roasted tomato, and sour cream Siracha served on a bacon-cheddar-chive scone. How could you go wrong with that? Every bite is truly scrumptious and you won’t care that the sauce is dripping down your hand because you won’t feel the need to set it down until it’s all gone, trust me.
To accompany my sandwich, I also ordered a maple sea salt latte with skim milk. The sweet and salty flavor was defined and delicious. There’s nothing worse than taking a sip of a $5 latte to find it lacking any distinguishable flavor. Additionally, it was served slightly hotter than your average latte, a welcome surprise (no one likes lukewarm lattes). I sipped on it slowly throughout my stay because I didn't want it to end.
